Our shaded bed was new to the garden this year. I’d always loved Bleeding Heart but never had them before.
They’re at the end of their life now, the flowers having all dropped back in early July and the leaves are now turning yellow and wilting. Soon it will be time to cut them right down and cover with mulch.
At their peak though we had a glorious display of vivid flowers. I’m looking forward to these coming back again next year.
Taken on Canon 5D MkIII, 100mm Macro Lens, F8, SS 1/60. Single flower lit with a maglite torch.
